Arizona +6 over Minnesota
It’s not going to be easy to buy a ticket on the Arizona Cardinals. They have both quarterbacks dinged, their top two running backs dinged, they’ve allowed 22 sacks over the last three games, and they’ve scored one touchdown in their last 25 drives. So why take a shot here ??? Well ….. we all know how dogs gave fared in the NFL and the NFC in particular. In fact, these division pups are 32-5 in 2012 and that’s thank in large part to Arizona. The dog is 6-0 in the Cardinals six games, NFC West non-divisional dogs are 9-1 vs spread, 5-1 on road. That said, you still have to do it on the field and the Vikings are 3-0 at the Metrodome. Minnesota is yet to play a team with a winning record and while this edition is certainly improved over the 2009-2011 versions, they are still only 3-10 ATS against better than .500 opponents and yes, Arizona is still 4-2. Two of the better defenses in the league square off here. Minnesota was exposed somewhat last week on the road vs the more mobile RG III but prior was pretty good. Five of the six Cardinal games have gone under and the Red Bird stop unit is top ten statistically themselves and allows just 84 ypg on the ground and less than 300 overall. Three of the last four Viking gmaes have gone under and despite the number being skewed by the Redskins debacle last week, we know that Arizona doesn’t rush the ball well and that the Vikes can still get after the passer with Jared Allen and Co. This just looks to be a game played between the 20′s where the first one to 20 wins. If that’s the case, give us the Cardinals with an almost full touchdown and Larry Fitzgerald coming home to stop the bleeding.
