Last week the Browns were favored on the road for just the second time since 2006 and managed to escape from Oakland with a 20-17 push. The Chiefs were able top overcome the Jovon Belcher tragedy and snap an eight game losing streak with a 27-21 win (+5) over Carolina. Now the Chiefs are on the road and catching a full touchdown from a team that is avgg just 19.1 ppg. Now the Browns are 4-3 after an 0-5 start but their three wins at home are by less than what they giving up here and their 3-8-2 L13 mark as a home favorite does nothing to generate further confidence. It’s easy to imagine the Chiefs who are 1-4 on the road with three loss by 18+ points to just lay down here but BOTN believes that this a team with talent and will not go into fat and happy mode after the win over the Panthers. In fact, Kansas City could be ready to circle the wagons and come up with a second strong effort motivated by the fact that popular HC Romeo Crennel and quarterback of the moment Brady Quinn were both ridden out of Cleveland on a rail. Both teams will look to establish the run and neither is likely to have a whole lot of success. That said, neither team is very proficient through the air meaning there will be a lot of football played between the 20s and that this could come down to a battle of placekickers. AFC West non-division road dogs are just 6-14 while NFC North non-division home favorites are just 6-10. The under is 3-1 in the last four Chief games and 5-0-1 in the L6 Brown games.
