Bet-On-the-NFL’s Mixed Grill Four Pack of Free Plays: Monday, January 16, 2012
Jan 16th, 2012 by dmack
Just three games left in the NFL season as we head into next weeks conference championship games. Sunday, the Ravens and Giants punched their tickets to the Final Four. The Ravens took advantage of three Houston tunovers to grind out a 20-13 win in Baltimore. The Ravens are 7.5 point underdogs on Sunday at New England. The Packers became the seventh straight Super Bowl champ to not win a playoff game (0-5) the following year. Green Bay could get nothing going with turnovers and drops as the Giants went wire-to-wire as a 9-point straight up dog. The G-Men catch 2.5 at San Francisco next Sunday in the NFC Championship game.
Tough day for BOTN free plays on Sunday. Looking to get back on track with the solid Monday holiday card. Good luck and lets get the week off to a good start.
(NBA) Houston -5 over Washington
After a slow start against the heavyweights in the West, the Rockets are strating to get things tuned around against the bottom feeders and the softer touches in the East. Houston takes care of business as a bully and are a perfect 3-0 in that role. They face a 1-11 (3-9 ATS) Wiz team that is 0-3 SU and ATS since getting their intial win over Toronto. The Rockets won both of last year’s meetings by seven and are 9-5 SU and ATS in the series on this court. Luis Scola is a solid 20/10 guy and Kyle Lowry is another well kept secret that produces night in and night out. Houston 102-90.

(NBA) Sacramento +7.5 over Minnesota
The old saying as good as you are when win big and never as bad as when you lose big applies here. Since firing Paul Westphal, the Kings are 1-4 and come off a 99-60 throttling at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks. How do you score just 60 points in an NBA game ??? Easy, shoot 22-86 from the field and get outrebounded 66-50. The T-Wolves are much improved but SP3 is not sure that Minny is ready to be laying points like this to anyone. The Wolves have been favored by 6-9 just twice in three years and are 0-2. Sacto is 4-3 SU and ATS in the series here of late and in what figures to be a lower scoring game, prefer the points.

(CBB) Rider +10 over Fairfield
Fairfield had looked like it was really on the improve before losing their last three including blowing a 15-point second half lead against Loyola Maryland on Friday. The Stags have solid wins against Arizona State and Old Dominion but again … they’ve lost three straight in games they were favored. Rider is just 6-12 but making money for gamblers going 7-1-1 in their L9. The Broncs are real road warriors going 22-11 vs the points and are 6-2 in the L8 as a road pooch at this level. Rider has won and covered the last two meetings on this floor and are 9-5 (7-4) long term at Harbor Yard Arena. In a battle of two bad teams heading in opposite directions, we’ll take the hot hand with double-digit points.

(NHL) Buffalo at Detroit Under 5.5
The Sabres are on an 8-4 under run and have scored just 16 goals in their L9 games. The Red Wings 8-3-1 to the under in their L12 and have scored three or less themselves in 9 of their L10 games. Buffalo is 11-5 low in their L16 roadies when the posted total was 5.5 or greater, 12-6 under with home ice revenge, and 8-3 low after getting beat by two or more in most recent. These teams have met once this year with the Wings winning 4-1 for their 16th win in the L19th in the series. Not interested in laying 2-1 with Motown but the hook makes under the trouble very attractive. Play the Under.
